Being natural in front of the lens
The thought of being videoed or photographed can bring on unwanted anxiety. Many questions run through one’s mind.
“Is my hair ok?” “Did I blink?” “What side is my good side?”
Those are all great thoughts and questions, but try and see the photographer/videographer as just another set of eyes invited.
Some of the best real life images are the ones not prepared. True heartfelt emotion can be seen from a genuine hug of a distant relative or pure joy and laughter from a lifelong friend. Candid imagery documenting your wedding will provide you with the ability to see what your guests see.
Here are 3 quick tips to help you remain natural.

STAY ENGAGED WITH YOUR OWN SUBJECT
Let’s say you’re at the reception and one of your guest comes up to congratulate you. Next thing you know, you have two photographers and a videographer pop up in your peripheral documenting your conversation. DON’T LOSE EYE CONTACT and remain engaged with the initial conversation. Block out all of the noise surrounding and finish what began. After the initial engagement is over and you want a posed photo or video, feel free to ask.
