Understanding Your Style

part 2

We hear it all the time,

“Happy wife, happy life.”

While that may ring true in some scenarios, when picking out a style, it may not be the case.

This isn’t a memory for just him or her, this is a memory for both. That’s why we try and stress the importance of blending in your styles.

We’ve heard stories of wives reflecting back on their imagery and stating to the husband,

“You didn’t seem to enjoy yourself.”

Or...

“You were having a bad day.”

To be honest, sometimes that’s the truth. So we did some digging and we were surprised at what we found out.

One husband said,

“I wasn’t having a bad day, I just would have preferred an outdoor wedding compared to an indoor formal.”

Another one said,

“I had a blast, but I know you wanted an outdoor formal compared to an informal beach wedding.”

What if a compromising factor took place and the outdoor wedding became an outdoor formal?

Or....

What if the beach wedding became an outdoor formal near a beach?

SO WHAT DOES THIS HAVE TO DO WITH OUR PHOTOGRAPHER/VIDEOGRAPHER?

Just as the wives felt their husbands were unhappy when reflecting on their imagery, you two may look back and have that same feeling.

If you don’t know what you want and just want to “GO WITH THE FLOW,” how can you expect your photographer/videographer to?

It starts at square one with the two of you. Truly envisioning and coming to an agreement on the direction of that special day. Deciding what imagery you want to reflect back on is no simple task, but neither is marriage. Understand each other’s wants and desires, pros and cons, needs and wishful thoughts. Blending in both styles is not only honorable, it shows a commitment to compromise.

We know, we know....

You’re thinking it can’t be this difficult and you’re right, it doesn’t have to be.

Stay tuned for another email and we will show you how your blended style, will pick your photographer/videographer.
